Lumin's Workshop Foam Clay

Need to add details to your foam armour? We have the answer for you! Lumin's Workshop foam clay starts out as a foamy putty like clay that stretches and blends back into itself beautifully. Once the surface starts drying, it may become hard to smooth lines out, so we recommend a TINY bit of water. Once your piece is finished, leave it to air dry, the bigger the piece, the longer it will take*. Once fully cured, the foam clay dries into a high density foam which can be cut, sanded, heat formed and glued to your your costume. The cured foam clay pieces do not need to be heat sealed but we do recommend priming before painting!

* We recommend giving it around 48 hours to cure before painting, if your piece is large, the centre may not be fully cured yet. This is normal and you can prime and paint your piece before it's cured on the inside! But you must wait for your piece to be fully cured before cutting and sanding through the surface layer.

Fantastic Medium for Cosplay

I was struggling with a perfect medium for making a FNAF character head for cosplay. I ended up purchasing another branded foam clay, but was having issues working with that brand- it would not easily stick to my EVA foam head base and was not easy to smooth. I broke down and purchased the Lumin's foam clay and immediately could tell the difference- it required little if any water to work with, was easy to smooth out for a polished look, and stuck very easily to EVA foam/dried nicely on EVA foam. Highly recommend- I preferred the $2.97 and $14.97 price tags of other brands but am glad I switched to this product as it allowed me to finish my project with much less time and hassle.

Great for lightweight shapes

If you need a clay that will keep the weight down on your project, this stuff is great. However just be weary that the details you sculpt may bloat as it dries.
